The color of my quill,
changes with the strength of my will.
Sometimes, its strokes are black
because of the heart it lacks
and the darkness it holds,
hidden beneath its multiple folds.
Often, its ink is pure white
because of the innocence it stores inside.
It also paints the canvas blue
because of the tantrum which life threw.
At times, it changes to red,
because of the unhealed scars that bled
or may be the crimson heart
got hit by the cupid’s dart.
It can also bleed yellow
if the lemons turn out a bit mellow.
Today, it is sparkling green
because of the Earth that is clean.
I wonder what it will spill next,
a cliched drama or something a bit grotesque.
I leave it up to you, please guess!

I absolutely loved this!!!! Itβs so true too – color of the quill or what it writes is often stemming from whatβs brewing inside. Too all those colors and versatile writings – we will keep waiting, until next time π

p.s. I love that line about the white… that is unexpected when one thinks of ink. That made me think. β‘π

My heart feels super squishy now. π Thank you so very very much. But you really did inspire me that is the absolute truth. Also John’s prompt of course, which I admit I had forgotten momentarily till you posted, but which was such a good one. My brain indeed operates in strange associative ways. ππ₯°π€
