One White Corner

Demons, they all have been gathered by me; by my life experiences; gifted to me by the people around me, by you.

I am not afraid of them, confronting them is what I constantly try to run away from because otherwise, everything else that I do will start to seem meaningless.

They lurk in the shadows nearby; in the nooks and crevices of my thoughts, always ready to spring out to malign the cleanest of my canvas. But like a wounded soldier I fight hard and unfair to protect that one corner in which I can recognize myself, even if for a brief fleeting moment. Before it all fades away, again, into the meaningless drudgery of everyday life.

An excerpt from a ‘Work-in-Progress’. Are you good at confronting your demons or are you like me?

Indeed, those battles aren’t easy at all and they can do much worse than just leading us astray.
Your story idea sounds powerful. Good luck with it.
