A-Angel (26 X 26)

When I opened my eyes there he was, staring down on me with his purple orbs. I sat up with a jerk and asked in a reflex, “Who are you?”

He didn’t say anything and looked at me as if he was waiting for me to remember something. It was only then I noticed my surroundings, I was in my usual bar but it was empty which was strange given the time was…I raised my hand to look at the watch but, the blood on my hand caught my attention.

“Why is there blood on my hand?” I was getting impatient by the each passing minute. The guy with the purple orbs looked bored, I narrowed my eyes at him, pinning him down my pointing gaze which demanded some answers.

Sensing my increasing anxiety, probably, he muttered, “Give it a few more minutes and it will start coming back. They all warned me about this but I never knew that humans are so damn impatient all the time and hostile too, even with the blood on your hands. Christ!”

“What do you mean by ‘humans’ and ‘they all warned you’? Who are you?”

“I said give it a few minutes but you obviously are not listening. Are you? Typical humans!”

I realized that it was futile talking to him and decided to ignore him. I tried to remember how I got here but it wasn’t of any use. I tried to look out the window to know what time it was but all I saw was a slight pink light, like at the dawn.

And then it struck me, I remembered it all. I had gotten into a fight and was stabbed and I was supposed to be dead, now.

“I am dead, am I? Who are you? Why are you here?”

“So, it is coming back. Good. I am your guardian angel and I am here until to you decide to die.”

“Guardian angel? Decide to die? So, I am not dead?”

“No, you are not. Not completely, anyway. And until you make your decision, I will have to wait with you.”

  1. A motivating discussion is definitely worth comment. There’s no doubt that that you need to write more on this issue, it might not be a taboo subject but usually people don’t speak about such subjects. To the next! Many thanks!!

  2. It’s one thing to write stream of thought for 26 minutes (the kind of writing I was/am used to doing, and have done for challenges similar to this one in the past) but quite another to begin to construct a story… your ability to do this is admirable. I got squeamish at the “blood and guts” aspect of this tale but having read the next part (B) now, I felt I could see where you were going with it and it has a humorous kind of vibe and also a bit of a moral teaching aspect perhaps, two imperfect beings hashing it out together. :)) I loved the phrase “staring down on me with his purple orbs” btw 💜💜👀🤓😆👍 I also love the way you challenge yourself and build community, gal. Hugs to you xoxoxo

    1. Your words are so kind, Lia, it makes me extremely happy to hear all this from you especially when English isn’t my first language. I am grateful!
When I started this, I didn’t know these two & I am surprised to meet them too. They both are so different from each other and yet no one is the ‘better one’.
Thank you so much for your sweet words and support, dear friend. It all means a ton.
Hugs & sunshine to you 💕🙏🤗💙
